It is more than apropos that my first post on this food blog happens to fall on my Mom’s birthday. You see my Mom is a genius in the kitchen. She can throw together a meal in what seems like 15 minutes flat that tastes like it has been cooking for an entire day. The only description I can think of for her food is pure LOVE.
It is also appropriate because this pepper steak recipe is one she gave me when I got married this past summer. She noticed how my semi-picky eater husband’s eyes would light up at the smell of her pepper steak.
Now I have never asked but I assume she calls this pepper steak because of the bell peppers, I usually go ahead and load it down with fresh cracked black pepper in case that is where the title comes from. Either way it’s delicious and fast!
- The Raw Players: Round Steak, Onion and Bell Pepper
- The Other Players: Soy Sauce. Corn Starch, Black Pepper & Olive Oil
- Having a party in the skillet
- Oops! I totally forgot to put the rice on, you should do that 1st
- Yummy, yummy in my tummy
- Happy Birthday Mom!

I guess he’s cute for being half-vulcan!
Love it, Cami! You sure take after your mother in the kitchen. How lucky can you be? Hope to see you at the meeting on Monday!

This’ll be a new recipe for me but I can’t wait to try it.
My hubby’s not a picky-eater so if I mess it up, he’ll
still think it’s wonderful. This is a great website and I’ll visit it often. Good luck with it.
Cami I am so impressed and Doc said he is so PROUD!! You can come cook in our kitchen anytime! I’ll pick it and chop it and you and Doc can cook it. Then, of course, I’ll be a designated “eater”! Love you bunches!
Cindy
